Mr and Mrs. Victor V. Tarassov

Well the wedding of the century took place on Sept 23, 2006 in Paoli, PA. It was a beautiful wedding. I am so grateful that I was there to celebrate my best friend's wedding. Victor you ARE the brother I never had and always wanted. You're someone I can talk to, laugh with, drink wine, and you showed me how to enjoy life. And Kathy, because you married my brother Victor, this weekend I feel like I have a new sister-in-law. During the ceremony, when you were both reciting your vows, I felt God's presence in a way that I've never experienced before, and it brought tears to my eyes. God was smiling down on you and he was saying "This is good". I never experienced God in that way before, and its something that will stay with me forever.

I loved meeting all your friends and family. I felt so welcomed and comfortable with everyone. I had an awesome time. Kathy I loved meeting your parents. Your dad reminded me of my dad. He has a twinkle in his eye, just like my dad had. And I could tell right away that he has a wonderful sense of humor, something that my dad also had. Your mom is just the sweetest lady. I know they are very proud of you. Victor, I enjoyed spending time talking with your dad and meeting your mom and your brother and Christina. I felt like I was part of the family, and I thank you for that.

The following is an American indian Wedding Prayer that I really like. I hope you like it as well.

WEDDING PRAYER

Now you will feel no pain,
For each of you will be shelter to the other.

Now you will feel no cold,
For each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now you will feel no more loneliness,
For each of you will be a constant companion to the other.

Now you are two bodies,
But there is only one life ahead of you.

Go now to your dwelling place,
To enter your days of togetherness.

To Victor my Friend and Brother

I found this poem and I thought it helped to express what is in my heart. Thank you for the iChat last night, and for always being there for me. Thanks for making me laugh and for making it ok to cry. God truly blessed me when he brought you into my life.

Everyone should have
a friend like you
You are so much fun to be with
And you are such a good person
You crack me up with laughter
And touch my heart with your kindness
You have a wonderful ability
To know when to offer advice
And when to sit in quiet support
Time after time
You've come to my rescue
And brightend so many
Of my routine days
And time after time
I've realized how fortunate
I am that my life includes you
I really do believe that
Everybody should have a friend like you
But so far it looks like
You are one of a kind!

Mood Lights

Went to an Art and Wine festival this weekend and found this vendor. She paints lightbulbs, so when you put the light bulb in a lamp, it reflects the image she painted on the lightbulb. They were pretty fun. The pictures don't do her work justice. You'd have to see it in person. But she had a lightbulb with purple and yellow flowers, so I asked her if she could paint one with purple flowers only, so I could have a Purple Power Flower lightbulb. So she is doing a custom light bulb and I should have it in about 2 weeks.
You can check out her website: www.mood-lights.com
I'll post a picture of the purple power flower light bulb when I get it.

Long live the Purple Power Flower !!!!

You might want to try this High Performance Memory Card for your camera. It captures pictures faster, so you can take pictures quicker and it's suppose to take better videos.

Devil Cat

Here's Peanut sleeping with her little lamb blanket. She's not really a devil cat. She's actually pretty sweet.

MacBook

Well, I finally did it. Tonight I ordered my MacBook. Should have it sometime next week.
Can't wait to do some stuff with pictures, and videos and to do some brochures or flyers using iWork for the Bears and Blankets project. It will going with me to PA in a couple of weeks.

The Post Office

I don't know how the US Post office can stay in business. They have the worst service. They can't seem to get anything, anywhere on time and they take no responsibility for their failure.
I was at the post office today, and while I was standing in line, I was listening to a man have a conversation with one of the post office clerks. Apparently he paid to have a package delivered to Texas and paid for it to be there on a certain day. Well the package wasn't delivered. So the man wanted a refund.

The clerk had a piece of paper and she was telling him that according to this piece of paper, the post office attempted to deliver the package, but no one was home. The man said there were 15 people in the house, they were waiting all day for this package, no attempt was made to deliver it. He just wanted a refund. The clerk told him that the people in Texas would have to file a claim in Texas and if Texas Post Office determined they were at fault, then paperwork would be sent to Mountain View California, for this man to get a refund. That will take forever.

The man asked the clerk if he could have a copy of this paper that she was holding, showing that a delivery attempt was made. This is where I almost went Postal. She asked the man "Did you pay for delivery confirmation?" No you didn't, so I can't give you a copy of this piece of paper. I couldn't believe it. So this is what will happen. The man will get his friends to go to the Post office in Texas and file a claim. Texas will send paperwork to Mountain View and request that piece of paper the clerk had. The clerk will send that piece of paper to Texas. Texas will decide if a refund is warranted, and send paperwork back to Mountain View Ca and then the man MIGHT get his refund. Our TAX dollars at work. No wonder they have to keep raising the postal rates.

On the other hand I shipped a package Fed Ex for a Saturday delivery. It did not arrive on Saturday, but arrived on Monday. Fed Ex gave me back all my money for that shipment, without me even asking for it.

So who will you use next time you need to ship a package???

iMac and Wine

I just noticed that my iMac has a cute pink apple on the back.

BevMo Store

Went to the new BevMo store in Sunnyvale today and picked up a couple of bottles of Cabernet. It's a cool store with wine tasting every Saturday. Humm, guess where I'll be on Saturdays. The cost for wine tasting is .25 cents. Such a deal. Today they had 5 Zins, and 4 Chardonnays. Tried a few of the Zins and they were just ok. Here's what I bought. I'll let you know what I think of the wine. They also had some nice wine glasses.
