Moving towards the light

Well, the Power Flower iMac is up and running. This is going to be so much fun. Here are
a few pictures of the iMac, keyboard, mouse and a wonderful bottle of wine, that I will be
opening tomorrow night I hope.

Hummingbird

Well, I was having a conversation with a brat in New Jersey tonight and he got me. I wanted to know why the hummingbirds at my feeder never landed. He said it was because they don't have feet. And I believed him. Ok, so he got me. So here's a picture of a hummingbird with feet. yada yada yada !!!! Whatever !!!!!!!!!!! I hate it when he's right !!!!!!!!!

New Lens for my digital camera

I bought this new Kodak Retinar Telephoto lens 2.0x 37mm for my digital camera. Can't wait to try it out this weekend. I still need to get an adapter.

Don't know what's causing this

When I click on the Podcast, and try to listen to a song and then try to scroll down to see what you wrote, the gray bar keeps multiplying. Can't seem to get it to stop.

The Power of the Flower

This is what the flower looked like this morning, all shriveled up and old. Kinda how I felt this morning. Then I put it in the sun and it opened up and became a beautiful flower again. This flower has power !!

A memory of my dad

Today I was talking with my friend Jennifer about family and I told her that my dad worked for 29 years in a textile mill making blankets. I visited my dad on a few occasions in that mill, and it was not the best working conditions. It was very noisy with all the looms operating and there were very few windows, so it was hot and stuffy. But what brought tears to my eyes today was remembering that my dad worked all those years making blankets. About 1 1/2 ago I started a program with my friend Jennifer called Bears and Blankets. We took our 2 passions, Jen's love of teddy bears, and my love for knitting blankets and we give them to children in need. Last year we donated 65 bears and blankets, and this year we have donated approx 130 so far. Realizing today that my dad spent all those years making blankets, and now I am giving blankets to children in need, was a wonderful feeling.
